A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDING AND THE EXECUTION OF A
GRANT AGREEMENT AND ANY AMENDEMENTS THERETO
FROM THE PLANNING/TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ALLOCATION
OF THE STATE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program provides funding opportunities for small cities and
counties for planning and feasibility studies related to CDBG eligible activities such as housing, public works, and economic
development;
WHEREAS, the County of Butte is eligible to apply for up to $70,000 for CDBG Project Specific planning and technical
assistance activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the County of Butte as follows:
SECTION 1.
The Board of Supervisors has reviewed and hereby approves application for a CDBG Planning and Technical Assistance
Grant in the amount of $70,000 for a Virginia Avenue Infrastructure Needs Analysis.
SECTION 2.
If the grant application is approved, Butte County will be required to provide a $1,400 cash match. 'These funds will be paid
from Butte County's CDBG Program Income.
SECTION 3.
The Board of Supervisors has determined that Federal Citizen Participation requirements were met during the development of
this application.
SECTION 4.
The Butte County Chief Administrative Officer is hereby authorized and directed to act on the County's behalf in all matters
pertaining to this application.
SECTION 5.
If the application is approved, the Chief Administrative Officer is authorized to enter into and sign the grant agreement and
any subsequent amendments with the State of California for the purposes of this grant.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 23rd day of October 2007 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Kirk, Josiassen, Yamaguchi, and Chair Dolan
