HomeMy WebLinkAbout07-187~~~r~o~e SUP~+-•~ • ,... .•.•.~r~rrr++r+,ti~.• ~1 ~~ • o: ;~; . , ~a• •~- • ^ * : : *i • :J r1 ~1~ ~~~+++nnrrr+r .~~ ~si~eCOU~ `~~ BOARD OF SUPERVISORS COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA h~~solution "v'o. 07-187 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE DEPARTMENT OF DEVELOPMENT SERVICES BUILDING DIVISION FEE SCHEDULE WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 03-170 in December 2003, adopting the Development Services Department Building Division Fee Schedule; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors adopted an Ordinance Amending Chapter 3 (Fees) of the Butte County Code on February 13,2007, allowing for the periodic application of a cost escalator on the Building Division Fee Schedule; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 97-060 in March 2007, amending the Development Services Department Building Division Fee Schedule by 634%, though the maximum allowable increase to fees at that time was 11.34%; and WHEREAS, the cost escalator is based upon the Employment Cost Index for State and Local Government (ECI); and WHEREAS, the ECI at the time the current Building Division Fee Schedule was adopted, the 4th Quarter of 2006, was 104. ] and the latest ECI, the 3rd Quarter of 2007, is 107.6; and WHEREAS, the maximum allowable increase to fees at this time, based upon changes in the ECI, is 3.36%; and WHEREAS, the Building Division Fee Schedule has been revised to add certain services that were not identified specifically in the original Building Division Fee Schedule or to correct fees based on current processes and practices; and WHEREAS, the Building Division Fee Schedule has been revised to include Occupancy Types and Construction Types as specified in the California Building Code. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, as the conducting authority, does hereby resolve, direct and order that the attached Exhibit A, amending the Department of Development Services Building Division Fee Schedule, become the fee schedule effective sixty (60) days from adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, on the 27th day of November, 2007 by the following votes: AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Josiassen, Yamaguchi, kirk, and Chair Dolan NOES: None ABSENT: None NOT VOTING: None JANE DOLAN, Chair Butte County Board of Supervisors ATTESTED: C.
