RESOLUTION REGARDING COUNTY HOSPITALIZATION CONTRACT FOR FY 07/08
BETWEEN
STATE DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH
AND
BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
WHEREAS, the California State Department of Mental Health has issued the County
Hospitalization Contract for FY 2007/2008 for Butte County Department of Behavioral Health
(BCDBH); and
WHEREAS, Butte County is required to establish a community mental health service
to cover the entire area of the County, and to reimburse the State Department of Menta9
Health for its use of state hospital beds; and
WHEREAS, BCDBH requires Butte County Board of Supervisors' authorization to
contract with the State for the provision of professional and inpatient services to persons,
who are acutely mentally ill, including mentally ill persons who require health care services;
and
WHEREAS, the term of the agreement shall be July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte Board of Supervisors
authorizes BCDBH to accept the terms of the State Hospitalization Contract for FY 07/08
with the State Department of Mental Health.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 29th
day of January 2008, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Yama~-uchi, Kirk, and Chair Josiassen
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
