RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE RECOGNI7_lNG "TIIF.. COHASSEET COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION' AS REPRESENTATIVE OF THF. COHASSET COMMUNITY WHEREAS, the community of Cohasset ("Community") has organized itself as the Cohasset Community Association ("association") for the purpose of representing the community on County issues; and WHEREAS, the Community defines itself as all properties falling either wholly or partially within the boundaries of Ca}Fire Station ??'s Response Area that lies ~~~ithin Butte County {see .Attachment A -map of Station 22 Response Area); and WHEREAS, 1"he goal of the t~ssociation is to advocate for the preservation and enhancement of the quality of life in the Community and to provide a local, sustainable network to assist and educate the Community concerning health, safety and emergency procedures; and WHEREAS, the Association shall provide a means for Community residents to have input an matters that impact the quality of life such as public health and safety, transportation, water quality, land use. and recreation; and WHEREAS, The .Association may represent the Community to any agency or entity on any matters concerning the Community; and WHEREAS, the Community has chosen an eleven (l 1) member Board of Directors of the Association. N{}V1~', THEREFORE, BF. IT RESOLVED, that the Board of` Supervisors ol- Butte County recognises the Cohasset Community Association as representative of the conununity of Cohasset, as defined in this resolution; and BE I"I' FURTHER RF,SOLVF.D_ that County departments shall take all reasonable steps to provide information and make presentations to the Association on all C«unty-related, community-wide issues, upon a request from the Association; and BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED, that County departments shall take all reasonable steps to communicate with the Association regarding community-wide issues that arise in the area represented by the Association.
