RESOLUTION TO RESTRICT PARKING HOURS AT SKYWAY LOOKOUT POINT
PARKING AND PEDESTRIAN VIEWING FACILITY
WHEREAS, the County-owned Skyway Lookout Point Parking and Pedestrian Viewing
Facility as shown in Exhibit A has no nighttime safety lighting, and
WHEREAS, nighttime visitors at the Skyway Lookout Point Parking and Pedestrian
Viewing Facility may pose a safety hazard and may disrupt the peace of local residents, and
WHEREAS, by resolution the Butte County Board of Supervisors has the authority,
pursuant to Butte County Code, Article XV, Sections 14-100 thru 14-103, to provide time
limitations and other restrictions to off-street parking spaces on County-owned or County-
operated property.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board hereby restricts parking
hours at the Skyway Lookout Point Parking and Pedestrian Viewing Facility between the hours
of two (2) hours after sunset to one (1) hour before sunrise.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this 21S` day of October, 2008, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Yamaguchi, Kirk, and Chair Josiassen
NOES: Nonc
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
