PROCLAMATION OF TERMINATION OF LOCAL EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, a local emergency presently exists in the County of Butte in
accordance with the proclamation thereof by the Chair of the Butte County Board of
Supervisors on the 11th day of June, 2008 relating to what has been described as the
June 2008 Firestorm (Ophir-Humboldt Fires), and the Board of Supervisors did ratify the
action of said Board Chair on the 16th day of June 2008; and,
WHEREAS, the Chair of the Butte County Board of Supervisors did proclaim the
existence of a local emergency within said County on the 22nd day of June, 2008
relating to what has been described as the fires associated with the June 2008 Butte
Lighting Strike Complex, and the Board of Supervisors did ratify the action of said Board
Chair on the 24th day of June 2008; and
WHEREAS, the situation resulting from said conditions of extreme peril is now
deemed to be within the control of the normal protective services, personnel, equipment
and facilities within the County of Butte.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, does hereby proclaim the termination of said local emergency.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, on this 4th day of November 2008, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Kirk, Chair Josiassen and Yamaguchi
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
