RF,SOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR FY08 INTF,ROPERABLF. EMERGENCY
COMMUNICATIONS GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors is the governing body of the Butte County
Operational Area; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte recognizes the need to participate in programs that enhance the
preparedness of local response agencies to the threat of terrorism and all hazards, natural or man-made; and
WHEREAS, the FY08 Interoperable Emergency Communications Grant Program will provide non-
matching funds for emergency prevention, preparedness, and response to prevent, deter, respond to and recover
from threats and incidents of terrorism and all hazards, natural or man-made; and
WHEREAS, the resources provided by the grant will meet the stated goals of the Butte County Emergency
Services Council and Butte Operational Area Communications Interoperability Committee, which represents the
incorporated and unincorporated jurisdictions of Butte County.
NOW THERFORE, IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that the Butte County
Emergency Services Officer shall apply for the funds available from the FY08 Emergency Communications Grant
Program; and
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED; that the Chief Administrative Officer, Telecommunications Manager and
the Emergency Services Officer of Butte County, are hereby designated as authorized representatives of the County
of Butte for the purpose of receipt, processing, and coordination of all inquires and requirements necessary to
obtain the assistance provided by the FY08 Emergency Communications Grant Program.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte as follows:
"fhe Butte County Board of Supervisors has reviewed and hereby approves application for the Fiscal Year ?008
Emergency Communications Grant for $20,000.
