A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ANY AMENDMENTS THERETO
FROM THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ALLOCATION OF THE STATE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM FOR THE
PURPOSES OF THIS GRANT
WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) provides funding
opportunities for small cities and counties for economic development; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte is eligible to apply for up to 5300,00 far CDBG economic
development activities.
BE IT RESOLVED by the County of Butte as follows:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors has reviewed and hereby approves application for a
State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG Program) in the amount of $300,000 for the
Continuation of Funding far the Butte County Micraenterprise Business Assistance Program.
SECTION 2. If the grant application is approved, the Tri-County Economic Development
Corporation will provide local leverage through in-kind services totaling $550 and $10,000 in private
funding.
SECTION 3. The Board of Supervisors has determined that the Federal Citizen Participation
requirements were met during the development of this application.
SECTION 4. The Chief Administrative Officer is hereby authorized and directed to`a~t on the
County's behalf in all matters pertaining to this application.
SECTION 5. If the application is approved, the Chief Administrative Officer is authorized to
enter into and sign the grant agreement and any amendments thereto with the State of California for the
purposes of this grant.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this l S`" day of
November 2008, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Rirk, Chair Josiassen and Yamaguchi
