'~ Bt~At~D QF S~lPERV1S~R COU1'~TY ~1= ~iJTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA Resolution No, o~-is4 RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING SUPERVISOR CURT JOSIASSEN FOR HIS YEARS OF SERVICE TO BUTTE COUNTY WHEREAS, Supervisor Curt Josiassen began his first term as District 4 Supervisor on January b, 1997 and was re-elected in 2000 and 2004; and WHEREAS, Supervisor Josiassen served as Chair ofthe Butte County Board of Supervisors in 2008, 2006, 2002, and 2001; and WHEREAS, Supervisor Josiassen served as Vice Chair of the Butte County Board of Supervisors in 2005, 2004, 2003, 2000, 1998, and 1997; and WHEREAS, Supervisor Josiassen represented Butte County on numerous Boards and Committees, including, but not limited to, the Butte County Association of Governments, the Butte County Air Quality Management District, the Northern California Water Association, the National Associatian of Counties, the Sutter-Butte Flood Control Agency, the California State Association of Counties, the Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital Joint Powers Agency, and the Federal Energy Regulation Commission sub-committee, and WHEREAS, Supervisor Josiassen., worked together with the Board of the Supervisors, Chief Administrative Officers, department beads, and County staff to enhance the level of service to Butte County citizens; and WHEREAS, Supervisor Josiassen diligently worked for the past 12 years in the best interest of Butte County and its citizens; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors, on its own behalf and on the behalf of the residents of Butte County, wish to recognize Supervisor Curt Josiassen for his dedication and service to the people of the County of Butte. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 16th day of December 2008 by the following vote; AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Yamaguchi, Kirk, and Chair Josiassen NOES: None ABSENT: None NOT VOTING: None ATTEST: C.
