RESOLUTION PROHIBITING STOPPING, PARKING OR STANDING ~OF VEHICLES
IN COUNTY JURIDICTION ON BOTH SIDES OF HUMBOLDT ROAD
FROM 0.5 MILE WEST OF SKYWAY TO 2.5 MILES EAST SKYWAY
WHEN SNOW REMOVAL CONDITIONS EXIST
(Vehicle Code Section 22510)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, as follows:
1. It shall be unlawful for any person to park, abandon, or otherwise leave unattended
any vehicle as defined in Section 6'70 of the California Vehicle Code an any County right-of--way
at any time ar in any manner which will obstruct, hinder, delay or otherwise inconvenience any
County officer, employee ar County contractor during snow removal operations or which will
leave the vehicle in such a position that it is subject to damage by County officer, employees or
County contractors engaged in snow removal operations. This provision shall not prohibit the
stopping of passenger vehicles for periods of time sufficient to load or discharge passengers from
such vehicles. Owners of vehicles parked in violation of this ordinance maybe subject to citation
ar towing. Owners of vehicles parked in violation of this ordinance shall also be held liable for
any damage to snow removal equipment, which may come in contact with said vehicle. The
County shall not be held liable for damage to any vehicles or property parked in violation of this
ordinance.
2. That the Director of Public Works is directed to place "No Parking When Snow
Removal Conditions Exist" signs or curb markings as provided in Section 14-46.5 of the Butte
County Code at the appropriate locations along said roadway.
3. This resolution is adopted pursuant to Section 22510 of the State Vehicle Code and
Article XI of the Butte County Code.
4. All resolutions or ordinances or parts of resolutions and ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this L6thday of December , 2008, by the following vote:
