RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION
OF
MARY MCMILLAN
UPON HER RETIREMENT
Whereas, this Board expresses its appreciation to MARY MCMILLAN for her ? I years of
dedicated service to the citizens of Butte County.
Whereas, MARYMCMILLAN began her career with the Butte County Department of Public
Health in 19$7 as an extra-help clerk in the Health Education office. In March of 1990 ~b~ARY
MCMILLAN was hired as a full-time clerk at the Butte County Sheriff's Office, assigned to the Sheriffs
Sub-Station in Chico. In December of 2004 MARYMCMII<L~N was promoted to the position ofSub-
Station Coordinator. During her career with the Butte County Sheriff's Office, II~IARYMCrl1ILLAN was
highly regarded by the Deputy Sheriff s who respectfully addressed her as '`Mom". MARY MCMILLAN
treated all those she came in contact with, especially the public, with the utmost courtesy and
prafessionalism. MARY MCMILLAN was lauded by her supervisors as being critical to the successful
operation of the Chico Sub-Station.
Whereas, after serving the citizens of Butte County for 21 years, tIIARYMCMLLAN is retiring on
December 30, 2008
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors an its o~~m behalf. and
on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte:
fhat said Board expresses their deep appreciation for the unselfish dedication and devotion given
by MARYMCMILLAN during her career with the Butte County Sheriffs Office.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors this 1 b`'' day of December 2008 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Kirk, Chair Josiassen and Yamaguchi
