No. 09-003 RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING A CONTRIBUTION FROM THE BETA CHAPTER OF OMEGA NU FOUNDATION WHEREAS, in accordance with Government Code 25355, the Board of Supervisors is authorized to accept any gift made to the County, and WHEREAS, the Beta Chapter of Omega Nu Foundation is a philanthropic sorority based in Chico; and WHEREAS, the Beta Chapter of Omega Nu Foundation has embraced the notion of donating to female minors incarcerated in Juvenile Hall on Christmas; and WHEREAS, such unsolicited thoughtfulness brings joy to others; and WHEREAS, the County of Butte wishes to acknowledge and thank the Beta Chapter of Omega Nu Foundation for their generous donation for children; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors accepts with thanks the $200 donation to the Butte County Juvenile Hall.
