RESOL~i1TION IN RECOGNITION OF JOIIN H WARSON
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF YLIBLIC FORKS
WHEREAS, John H. Warson, Engineering Project Coordinator for the Department o1~ Public
Works. announced his retirement as of December ~0, 2008; and
WHEREAS, John Warson began his career with the C'ouniy of Butte in 1971, as an hxtra IIelp
.lunior Engineering /tide, in the Department of Public Works, advancing within the Department to
become an Engineering Project Coordinator, his present position, where he supervises the department's
construction inspection division: and
WHERI+:AS, .Iohn Warson worked as a .lunior Engineering Aide, an I~ngi-leering Aide I, an
Engineering Aide II, an Engineering Technician I, and II, a Civil Engineering assistant, an Associate
Engineer and an Engineering Project Coordinator in the Public Works Department for many years; and
WHEREAS, John Warson has earned the respect of fellow employees, engineers, surveyors,
contractors, and others involved in Public Works activities in Butte County, and has diligently served the
residents of the County of Butte far thirty-seven (37) years with distinction and leadership;
NOW, 7'IIEREFORE, BE 1'I' RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of
the residents of the County of Butte, wish to express to John Warson sincere appreciation for his many
years of unselfish dedication and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte, and
fu7-lher wish him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte. State of
Califonlia, this 6th day of January, ?009, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors: Chair Connelly, Dolan, Kirk, Lambert, and Yamaguchi
NOES: None
