Resolution
WHEREAS, Judith Terry began her employment with the County on September 27, 1997 in the
capacity of Supervisor's Clerical Aide for Supervisor Curt Josiassen; and
WHEREAS, Judith Terry was subsequently promoted to Supervisor's Administrative Assistant I,
Supervisor's Administrative Assistant II and then to Executive Assistant on June 9, 2001; and
WHEREAS, Judith Terry served the 4th District constituents and others with the utmost dignity and
grace by hearing their concerns and questions with warmth and care. She brought the highest level of service
and support to Butte County's District 4 off ce;
WHEREAS, Supervisor Curt Josiassen came to depend on her experience and knowledge in
management and finance to help guide hire on policy issues and research;
WHEREAS, Judith assisted Supervisor Josiassen in countless hours of research and model investigation
for the County's programs, such as pay for performance, 40 hour workweek, zero-based budgeting and cost
accounting, permitting processes and economic development;
WHEREAS, Supervisor Curt Josiassen relied on Judith's common sense and advice, and depended on
her to represent him at a multitude of meetings, many of which were after hours and on weekends; and
WHEREAS, Judith Terry diligently worked for the past 12 years in the best interest of Butte County
and its citizens;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors, on its own behalf and on the
behalf of the residents of Butte County, wish to recognize Judith Terry for her dedication and service to the
people of the County of Butte.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 10th day of February 2009
by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Kirk, Lambert, Yamaguchi, and Chair Connelly
