RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT &
SOCIAL SERVICES TO
ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT
OF SOCIAL SERVICES TO COORDINATE DUTIES BETWEEN AGENCIES RELATED TO
ADOPTION SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Butte County Department of Employment & Social Services {DESS} is authorized to
enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the State Department of Social Services (CDSS} to
coordinate duties between agencies related to adoption services; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Department of Employment & Social Services (DESS) has Board
approval to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the California Department of Social Services
(CDSS). The term of the Agreement shall be from October ~ , 2008 through June 20, 20'13; and
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED as follows:
That the Butte County Board of Supervisors authorizes the Butte County Departmen# of Employment
& Social Services {DESS) to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the California Department of
Social Services and to coordinate duties befinreen agencies related to adoption services.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24~' day of February 2009, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Kirk, Lambert, Yamaguchi
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
