RESOLUTION ADOPTING A MAXIMUM LOAD POSTING FOR THE BRIDGE ON
CENTRAL HOUSE ROAD CROSSING WYMAN RAVINE, 12C-0111
WHEREAS, Butte County "may determine the maximum weight of vehicle and load,
lower than the maximum weight otherwise permitted under the State of California 2008 Vehicle
Code, which a bridge or other structure under its jurisdiction with safety to itself will sustain."
WHEREAS, an engineering investigation has been accomplished by the State of
California, Department of Transportation, and
WHEREAS, bridge number 12C-0111 has been appropriately noticed regarding the
proposed maximum load posting and date and time of public hearing to be held, and
WHEREAS, The Board of Supervisors has conducted a public hearing regarding the
proposed maximum load posting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
that the existing posting of " 22 tons per Truck, 34 tons per Semi-Trailer Combination, 3~ tons
per Truck and Full Trailer" (March 13, 1980) is rescinded and the maximum load posting, far
bridge number 12C-0111, Central House Road crossing Wyman Ravine, is hereby approved and
said bridge shall be posted as follows:
20 TONS PER VEHICLE
31 TONS PER SEMI-TRAILER COMBINATION
38 TONS PER TRUCK AND FULL TRAILER
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chair of the Butte County Board of
Supervisors is hereby authorized to execute the adoption of the maximum load pasting for bridge
number 12C-0111 on behalf of the County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, this 24`h day of February 2009, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, ~oian, Kirk, Yamaguchi
NOES: Supervisor Lambert
ABSENT: None
