HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-091Resolution BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND CRIME PREVENTiDN ACT OF 2400 And OFFENDER TREATMENT PROGRAM COUNTY PLAN AND FUNDING REQUEST FOR FY 2009-2010 WHEREAS, In November of 1999, California voters approved Proposition 36, the Substance Abuse and Crime Prevention Act of 2000 which directs counties to implement a program to divert nonviolent persons convicted of drug possession or drug use into treatment and supervisions in lieu of incarceration; and WHEREAS, in order to receive funding pursuant to the Act, the Butte County Department of Behavioral Health has prepared a County Plan that will comply with the provisions of the Substance Abuse and Crime Prevention Act of 2000 and the Offender Treatment Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby, approves the county plan, completed pursuant to §9515, Title 9, California Code of Regulations, by the Butte County Department of Behavioral Health. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 9`h day of June 2009, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Kirk, Lambert, Yamaguchi, and Chair Connelly NOES.
