HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-105THE JONESVILLE HOTEL Resolution WHEREAS, the Jonesville Hotel located in the community of Jonesville, CA is the last stage coach stop/inn remaining on the Humboldt Wagon Road which was built in the 1860s for the transport of produce from the Sacramento Valley to the mining areas of the Nevada and Idaho territories; and WHEREAS, the Janesville Hotel Complex includes the hotel, the bam, fences, and several original log structures and is one of the few remaining structures of its type still in existence in Northern California; and WHEREAS, the Jonesville Hotel's architectural style reflects a significant phase of Butte County's history and helps promote tourism within the County of Butte; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors, hereby recognizes the historical value the Jonesville Hotel brings to the County of Butte.
