WHEREAS, Butte County Code Section 2.1 provides that the Board of Supervisors may, by
resolution, specify those hours during which individual departments will be open to the public;
and
WHEREAS, the Paradise Friends of the Library have agreed to provide funding for staff to
extend library haurs at the Paradise Branch by 12 hours per week beyond the 30 hours per week
funded by the County for a period of one year beginning July 1, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the City of Chico contributes funding for staff to extend library hours at the Chico
Branch by 18 hours per week beyond the 30 hours per week funded by the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that the
Library will be open to the public effective July 4, 2009 as follows:

Wednesday 9 am - 8 pm
Thursday 9 am - 8 pm
Friday 9 am - 4:30 pm
Saturday 9 am - 4:30 pm

Wednesday noon - 6 pm
Thursday 10 am - 4 pm
Friday 10 am - 4 pm
Saturday 10 am - 4 pm
Oroville Branch
Tuesday noon - 6 pm
Wednesday noon - 6 pm
Thursday 10 am - 4 pm
Friday 10 am - 4 pm
Saturday 10 am - 4 pm
Paradise Branch
Tuesday 9 am - 7 pm
Wednesday 9 am - 7 pm
Thursday 9 am - 7 pm
Friday 10 am - 4 pm
Saturday 10 am - 4 pm
All branches normally closed on Mondays will observe Monday holidays on the preceding
Saturday.
Resolution No. 09-055, adopted Apri17, 2009, is hereby rescinded in its entirety.

LIBRARY
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, on this 23rd day of June 2009 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Kirk, F~ambert, Yamaguchi, and Chair Connelly
NOES; None
