EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ANY AMENDMENTS THERETO
FROM THE PLANNiNGITECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ALLOCATION
OF THE STATE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program provides funding
opportunities for small cities and counties for planning and feasibility studies related to CDBG
eligible activities such as housing, public works, and economic development;
WHEREAS, the County of Butte is eligible to apply far up to $35,000 in funds for one or more
proposed Economic Development studies not directly focused on development of a specific project
(non-project specific activity).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the County of Butte Board of Supervisors as
follows:
SECTION 1
The Butte County Board of Supervisors has reviewed and hereby approves an application under the
Economic Development Allocation for up to $35,000 for the completion of an Entrepreneurial
Knowledge-Based Enterprise Action Plan.
SECTION 2
Tlie Butte County Board of Supervisors has determined that federal Citizen Participation requirements
were zx~et during the development of this application.
SECTION 3
If the application is approved, far Cash Match the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby approves
the use of CDBG Program Incoxr~e Funds in the amount of $700.00.
SECTION 4
The Butte County Chief Administrative Officer is hereby authorized and directed to act on the
County's behalf in aIl matters pertaining to this application.
SECTION 5
If the application is approved, the Butte County Chief Administrative Officer is authorized to enter into
and sign the grant agreement and any subsequent amendments with the State of California for the
purposes of this grant.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 215` day of July 2009
by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Kirk, Lambert, Yamaguchi, and Chair Connelly
