EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ANY AMENDMENTS THERETO FROM
THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ALLOCATION OF THE STATE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS GRANT
WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) provides funding
opportunities for small cities and counties for economic development; and '
WHEREAS, the County of Butte is eligible to apply for up to $340,040 for CDBG economic
development activities. '
BE IT RESOLVED by the County of Butte as follows:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors has reviewed and hereby approves application for a
State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG Program) in the amount of $300,000 from the
Enterprise Fund Component for the Continuation of Funding for the Butte County Microenterprise
Business Assistance Program.
SECTION 2. If the grant application is approved, the Tri-County Economic Development
Corporation will provide $26,100 in local leverage through in-kind services totaling $1,100 and cash
match totaling $25,000.
SECTION 3. The Board of Supervisors has determined that the Federal Citizen Participation
requirements were met during the development of this application.
SECTION 4. The Chief Administrative Officer is hereby authorized and directed to act on the
County's behalf in all matters pertaining to this application.
SECTION 5. If the application is approved, the Chief Administrative Officer is authorized to
enter into and sign the grant agreement and any amendments thereto with the State of California for the
purposes of this grant.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 11`x' day of August,
2049, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Kirk, T~ambert, Yamaguchi, and Chair Connelly
