RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE SUPPORTING BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
RECOVERY ACT "TIGER" PROGRAM GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE
SKYWAY WIDENING FROM PENTZ ROAD TO ,SOUTH PARK DRIVE
PROJECT
WHEREAS, ox~ December 15, 1998 the Butte County Board of Supervisors,
acting on the recommendations of the July 1996 Skyway Improvement Program
Feasibility Study prepared by the Butte County Associatioal of Govez»ments, directed the
Co~mty Department of Public Worlcs to proceed with a project study of the possible
design alternatives to widen the Skyway from two lanes to four lanes between Pentz
Road and South Park Drive; and
WHEREAS, on June 14, 20Q5 the Butte County Board of Supervisors certified
the Final Environmental Impact Report for the Skyway Widening Project; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte wishes to seek grant funding for this project
consistent with the terms of the Recovery Act "TIGER" program;
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, that the Board strongly supports the application for "TIGER" grant funding
for the Skyway Widening Project and authorizes the Director of Public Warks to act on
the County's behalf as needed in order to secure fundiirg from this source. `
