Richard Chandler
Whereas, this Board expresses its appreciation to Richard Chandler for his 19 years of dedicated
service to Butte County.
Whereas, Richard Chandler began his employment with the Butte County Sheriff s Off ce in
April of 1990, as a Reserve Deputy. In 7anuary of 1992 Richard was hired by the Butte County Sheriff's
Office as a Deputy SherifF Trainee. Rlchard completed the Butte College Police Academy in May of 1993.
Richard has worked a variety of assignments in the Sheriff's Office, including street patrol, boat patrol,
civil deputy, DART (dive team}, Durham designated area deputy and crime scene investigator. Richazd
was well respected by coworkers and an integral part of the sheriffs teanr~ that will be sorely missed.
Whereas, after serving the citizens of Butte County for 19 years, Richard Chandler is retiring on
August 3151, 2009.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors on its own behalf, and
on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte:
That said Board expresses their deep appreciation for the unselfish dedication and devotion given
by Deputy Richard Chandler during his career with the Butte County Sheriff s Off ce.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors this 29`'' Day of September 2009 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supertrisors Dolan, Kirk, Lambert, Yamaguchi, and Chair Connelly
