ASSISTANCE REIMBURSEMENT
AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND BUTTE
COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, agreement to provide, through the County Department of Employment and Social
Services, Interim Assistance to individuals whose benefits under Title XVI of the Social Security Act are
pending eligibility for Supplemental Security Income (SSI)IState Supplementary Payment (SSP) or during the
months their SSfISSP benefits have been suspended or terminated, if the individuals are subsequently found
to be eligible for SSI/SSP benefits for those months. Reimbursementforossistance by this agreement is from
Social Security Administration (SSA).
NOW, THEREFORE, iT IS HEREBY RESOLVED as follows:
That the Butte County Board of Supervisors does hereby agree to provide interim Assistance Reimbursement
(IAR) from July 1, 2008 through dune 30, 2009 and agreement shall automatically be renewed for successive
periods of five (5}years thereafter {commencing on July 1St of each year), unless written notice not to renew
is given as prescribed in the Agreement.
