HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-156RESOLUTION BY THE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS WHEREAS, the California Energy Commission provides loans to schools, hospitals, local governments, special districts, and public care institutions to fmance energy efficiency improvements; and WHEREAS, the County of Butte desires to implement energy efficiency projects in County facilities as a means to preserve both finances and energy; NOW THEREFORE, BE ~T RESOLVED THAT: 1. The Butte County Board of Supervisors approves the submission of an application for an energy efficiency loan from the California Energy Commission to implement energy efficiency measures. 2. in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Butte County Board of Supervisors finds that the activities funded by the loan consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, and permitting of mechanical equipment in a public facility, and is categorically exempt under Section 15301 Existing Facilities, Class 1, ofthe State CEQA Guidelines. 3. if recommended for funding by the California Energy Commission, the Butte County Board of Supervisors agrees to accept a loan not to exceed $200,000. 4. That the amount of the loan will be paid in full, plus interest, under the terms and conditions of the Loan Agreement, Promissory Note and Tax Certificate of the California Energy Commission. 5. The Chief Administrative Officer is hereby authorized and empowered to execute in the name of Butte County all necessary documents to implement and carry out the purpose of this resolution, and to undertake all actions necessary to undertake and complete the energy efficiency projects.
