RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING KAREN HELLAR
UPON HER RETIREMENT FROM BUTTE COUNTY
WHEREAS, Karen Hellar began her employment with the County on January 31, 2005
in the capacity of Administrative Assistant II for Supervisor Kim Yamaguchi, District 5; and
WHEREAS, prior to working for Butte County, Karen worked in various administrative
and legal support positions for the Solano Land Trust, the Napa County Courts, and Soiano
County Probation, and has vested over thirty years in public service; and
WHEREAS, Karen's job classification was changed to Executive Assistant for
Supervisor Yamaguchi in August 2005; and
WHEREAS, the duties of grandmother require full time love and devotion; and
WHEREAS, singing, guitars, and late night concerts require additional morning sleep.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors, on its own
behalf and on the behalf of the residents of Sutte County, wish to recognize Karen Hellar upon
her retirement for her years of dedication and service to the people of the County of Butte.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this $`h day of
December 2009 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Kirk, Larribert, Yamaguchi, and Chair Connelly
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
