AUTHORIZIlVG SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION FOR HUD GRANT B-09-SP-CA0049
WHEREAS, the County of Butte has acquired land in Oroville for the purpose of establishing a Veterans
Mernorial Parr; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing & Urban Development Appropriations Act, 24Q9 (Public Law 11 #-S}
contained Economic Development Initiative funding in the amount of $i42,5Q0 to assist in the development of
the Park; and
WHEREAS, to access the federal funding made available by Public Law 111-8, the County of Butte must
submit an application, and comply with all other requirements of the Department of Housing & Urban
Development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors authorizes the submittal of the
application to the Department of Housing & Urban Development and authorizes the Chief Administrative
Officer to execute in the name of the County of Butte, the application and all necessary contracts and
agreements, and amendments thereto, to implement and carry out the purposes specified in the application.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 81h day of December, ,2009 by the
