RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
SUBMISSION OF GRANT APPLICATION
TO THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY
FOR
OCCUPANT SAFETY-ARRIVE ALIVE? PROGRAM
WHEREAS, ti3e California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) is providing grant opportunities to agencies for Federal
Fiscal Year {FFY) 20i 1 to fund programs that enhance traffic safety and address traffic safety problems; and
WHEREAS, Butte County Public Health has developed the "Occupant Safety-Arrive Alivel"program in accordance
with grant requirements; and
WHEREAS, through the "Occupant Safety-Arrive Alive!" program, Butte County Public Health will work to increase
the use of booster seats in children ages 4-9 and seatbelt compliance in teens age 14-17.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Butte County Board of Supervisors authorizes the submittal of a grant
application to the California Office of Traffic Safety for FFY 2011.
PASSED AND ADOPTED 6y the Butte County Supervisors this 12`x` day of January, 2010 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Kirk, Lambert, Yamaguchi, and Chair Connelly
