AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY
OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, PURSUANT TO
ORDINANCE. NOS. 475 , 522 and 676 OF SAIn COUNTY
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of Cali-
fornia, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475 of said County,
being the. Zoning Enabling Ordinance of said County as amended by
Ordinance Nos. 52,2 and 6.76, DOES ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinbelow described area, situate in the
County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
zoned as an "RT-1" (Minimum-Density Residential-Trailer) District,
and such area sha1~1 be subject to the restrictions and.xestricted
uses and .regulations hereinafter .specified and provided, said area
being located in the unincorporated area of Butte County ,:`.west.: of
the City of Chico. and particularly described as follows:
As shown by Map 2L attached, and as shown
on Butte County Zoning Map in the office
of the Butte County Planning Commission.
SECTION 2. The following regulations shall apply in an "RT-1"
(Minimum-Density Residential-Trailer) District:
2.1 USES PERMITTED:
a. Single-Family dwellings.
b. House trailers to house one family, when such
house trailer is the-only housing facility located
on the premises, provided the following conditions
.are conformed to:
1) The floor area within the trailer shall not be
less than one hundred sixty (160) square feet;
2) All sanitary facilities shall conform to State
Statutes and regulations and to local requirements
of the Health Department; and
3) All electrical installations shall conform to
State Statutes and regulations.
c. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
d. Household pets, but not including livestoclt, poultry
or poisonous reptiles. .
2.2 LOT AREA REQUIREB: Minimum .required area of a lot per
dwelling unit shall be no less than eight thousand, one hundred
and twenty-five (8,125) square feet.
2.3 LOT WIDTH REQUIRED: Minimum lot width shall not be less
than sixty-five (65) feet.
2.4 FRONT YARD REQUIRED: i~'linimum front yard shall be fifty
(50) feet from the centerline of the road, except where the road
is classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary Road the
minimum building setback requirement shall be fifty-five (55) feet
from centerline of said road.
2.5 SIDE XARD REQUIREMENT: D~inimum side yard shall not be
less than five (5) feet.

EACH CASE:
a. Gql~ courses and country clubs.
b. Public and quasi-public uses including churches, fire-
houses, hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools and
public utility buildings.
SECT20N 3. All uses of land within the District not specific-
ally authorized and permitted in. Section 2, are prohibited.
SECTION 4. Tn compliance with the provisions of said Enabling
Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding to Section 5 there-
of this Ordinance in full.
SECTION. 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning here-
by imposed within the district shall be as provided in the honing
Enabling Ordinance.. In compliance with the provisions of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after
its effectide date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance.
SECTI01~ 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared
to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (3Q) days
after the date of its passage; and before the expiration of fif-
teen (15) days after the date of its passage this Ordinance shall
be published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against it in the. Chico Enterprise
a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
:Butte, State of California, this 12th day of November 1958
