HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-039Resolution RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF WASTE TIRE ENFORCEMENT GRANT APPLICATIONS WHEREAS, Public Resources Code sections 40000 et seq. authorize the California Department of Resources Recycling end Recaverry (CalRecycle) to administer various Grant Programs in furtherance of the State of California's {State) efforts to reduce, recycle and reuse solid waste generated in the State thereby preserving landfill capacity and protecting public health and safety and the environment; and WHEREAS, in furtherance of this authority CalRecycle is required to establish necessary procedures governing the application, awarding and management of the Grants; and WHEREAS, procedures established by the State and CalRecycle require each Applicant's governing body to certify by resolution its approval of the submittal of a Grant Application[s~ to CalRecycle; and WHEREAS, if awazded, the Director of Butte County Public Works will enter into a Grant Agreement with CalRecycle for implementation of said Grant(s); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors authorizes the submittal of Grant Applications to CaIRecycle for all available Grants far which Butte County Public Works is eligible fvr the period of Fiscal Year 20101201.1 through Fiscal Year 201412015; time period not to exceed five years from the date of adoption. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works, or his/her designee is hereby authorized and empowered to execute in the Warne of the Butte County all Grant-related documents, including but not limited to, Applications, Agreements, Amendments and requests for payment, necessary to secure Grant funds and implement the approved Grant project.
