do ordain as follows:
Section l: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis
of an engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highways hereinafter
described come within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of
the State of California, in that the prima facie speed limit of thirty-five
(35) miles per hour is more than is reasonable and safe on said highway, and
determines and declares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County high-
ways as follows:
That a prima facie speed limit of twenty-f ive (25) miles per hour
is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEID LIMIT 25 MILES
signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County
highways, to wit:
1. Skyway from Neal Road to Bille Road
2. Pearson Road from Skyway to Clark Road
3. Elliott Road from Skyway to Clark Road
Section 2: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of
an engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter
described comes within the provisions of Section 22357 of the Vehicle Code
of the State of California, in that the existing prima facie speed limit
is less than is most appropriate to facilitate the orderly movement of
traffic on said highway and determines and declares a prima facie speed
limit on such County highway as follows:
That a prima. facie speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles per hour
is hereby determined, declared azd established and that SPEED LIMIT 35 MILES
signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County
highway, to wit:
Skyway from Bille Road to Rocky Lane
Section 3: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis
of an engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter
described comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of
1 the State of California, in that a prima facie speed limit of forty-five
2 (~.5) miles per hour is more than is reasonable and safe on sad highway, and
3 determines and declares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County high-
4 way as follows:
5 That a prima facie speed limit of THIRTY-~'NE (35) MILES PER HOUR
6 is hereby determined, declared and. established and that SPEED L71~IIT 35 MILES
7 signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County
8 highway, to wit:
9 Foothill Boulevard from Olive Highway to Oroville-Bangor Highway
l0 Section 4: A11 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
11 herewith are hereby repealed
12 Section 5: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and
13 terms of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and
14 the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provisions, section, or term
15 thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor. render the
16 same inoperative or invalid
17 Section 6: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte
18 is hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
19 speed limits established herein, within thirty (30} days of the adoption
20 hereof .
21 This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage,
22 and before the expiration of fifteen days after its passage, it shall be
23 published with the names of the members voting for and against the same,
24 once in a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
25 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte
26 State of California, at the regular meeting thereof on the 10th day of
$7 December , 196$, by the following vote:
