HomeMy WebLinkAbout1005ORDINANCE NO. 1005 1 2 3 AN INTERIM ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, State of California, zoning a portion of said COUNTY, REFERRING TO EXISTING ORDINANCE NOS. 475, 522 and 676 OF SAID COUNTY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of Cali- fornia, DO ORDAIN as follows: 4 SECTION 1. Section 1 of Ordinance. No. 589 (Agricultural Resi- 6 dential) A-R, is amended by deleting all property located in Section 3, Township 19, North, Range 4 East. 6 SECTION 2. All that land lying within Section 3, Township 19, North, Range 4 East is hereby zoned "A-2 (General)". 8 SECTION 3. The foregoing amendment to A--R (Agricultural-Residen• tial), Ordinance No. 589 shall be, and it is hereby declared to be 9 in full force and effect from and after its passage, pursuant to the emergency hereinafter found and declared; and it shall remain 10 in full force and effect until such time as a permanent ordinance covering the above-described area shall take effect following 11 notice, public hearings and other procedures as are provided in said Zoning Enabling Ordinance, or until such time as the Board of 12 Supervisors shall determine that the said area shall not be so zoned. 13 SECTION 4. For the immediate preservation of the public peace, 14 health and safety of the area hereinabove described and the resi- dents and inhabitants thereof, it is necessary that this Ordinance 15 take effect immediately. A declaration of the facts constituting 'the necessith therefor is as follows: 16 The Adri~ption of such.Interim Zoning Plan is necessary in the 17 public interest to maintain the status quo in such area, pending the determination of the application for-such permanent detail lg zoning. 19 SECTION 5. This emergency ordinance shall take effect immediate ly upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days 20 after its passage shall be published once with the names of a~~ members voting for and against the same in the Chico Enterprise 22'a newspapexrpublished in the County of Butte. 22.
