RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
AND COLLABORATIVE PARTNERS APPLYING FOR MENTAL HEALTH TRANSFORMATION
GRANT
WHEREAS, Butte County Department of Behavioral Health (BCIaBH) and Collaborative
Partners are applying for a FY 2Q1 Q Mental Health Transformation Grant from the Substance
Abuse Mental Health Service Agency to provide adul#s Trauma Informed Care through Circles
Offering Recovery and Empowerment Connections (CORE Connections)
WHIEREAS, the Board of Supervisors recognizes the impact of trauma on valued local
citizens such as~ veterans, survivors of childhood physical and sexual abuse, domestic violence
survivors, sexual assault survivors, survivors of wildfires, members of our focal cultural
communities, and mental health consumers
WHEREAS, CORE Connections creates partnerships in which trauma survivors are
empowered to create a path to achieve wellness and recovery as well as their goals
WHEREAS, CORE Connections helps trauma survivors re-establish connections to
themselves, their families, their friends, and their cultural communities which are often torn apart
in repeated exposure to trauma
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
supports this grant application that would meet the needs of trauma survivors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 27~" day of April
2Q1 Q, by the following vote:
