CHILD SUPPORT SERVICES' OFFICE REVOLVING FUND
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte previously adopted
Resolutions # 76-31, 93-98 & 01-111 approving and authorizing a Revolving Fund in the
amount of $5,000, which was decreased to the amount of $1,000 by Resolution #04-134
far use at the Child Support Services' Office pursuant to Government Code # 29320 et
seq ;and
WHEREAS, that code provides far the establishment and maintenance of such
funds in amounts to be determined by the Board of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Child Support Services has determined that due to the
increased volume and new fee schedules, an increase in the dollar amount of that Imprest
Cash Fund (Revolving Fund) is necessary for the eff dent operation of the Child Support
Services' Off ce and its branches; and
WHEREAS, both the Director of Child Support Services and the Auditor believe
that an increase would {1) be beneficial to the eff dent operation of the Child Support
Services' Office and branches, and (2) would allow for better cash handling practices and
procedures, therefore mutually support the request for an increase;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1. That in addition to the amount authorized by the above resolution, this resolution
increases the amount from the existing $1,000 to $2,000. An increase of $1,000.
2. It is the intent of the Child Support Services' Office to deposit this $1,000 increase
into the same checking account in which the earlier mentioned funds are held at Bank
of the West; monitored and reconciled by Child Support Staff on a monthly basis.
The Board approves the redistribution of the total amount of the Revolving Fund at
the discretion of the Director of Child Support Services andlar her successor.
3. Certified copies of this resolution shall be transmitted to the County Auditor and the
County Treasurer.
4. The Interim Chief Administrative Officer and the Chief Financial Officer are
instructed pursuant to Section 29323 of the California Government Code to amend by

RESOLUTION INCREASING THE AMOUNT OF THE
endorsement the blanket fidelity bond of the County to be conditioned in addition to
its other provisions, upon the faithful administration of the Revolving Fund and upon
the willingness and ability of the principal for whom such fund has been established
to account for and pay over the fund upon demand of the Board of Supervisors at any
time.
S. The Auditor of the County of Butte is hereby authorized and directed to draw a
warrant in the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) in favor of the Director of Child
Support Services, for deposit into the Butte County Child Support Services'
Revolving Fund and to adjust County records accordingly.
6. The Director of Child Support Services (or successor}, or his/her designee will
account for the Revolving Fund in accordance with Government Code Section 29390
et. seq. and will periodically verify the amounts in the funds when requested by the
Auditor-Controller or the Board of Supervisors.
