RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR FY2010 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors is the governing body of the Butte County
Operational Area; anal
WHEREAS, the County of Butte recognizes the need to participate in programs that enhance the
preparedness of local response agencies to the threat of terrorism and all hazards natural or manmade; and
'WHEREAS, the FY 2010 Homeland Security Grant Program will provide non-matching funds for
emergency prevention, preparedness, response to and recovery from threats and incidents of terrorism and all
hazards natural or manmade; and
WHEREAS, the resources provided by the grant will meet the stated goats of the Butte County Disaster
Council, which represents the incorporated and unincorporated jurisdictions of Butte County.
NOW THERFORE, IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIlI~D AND ORDERED that the Butte County
Emergency Services Officer shall apply for the funds available from the FY 2010 Homeland Security Grant
Program; and
TT IS FURTHER ORDERED; the Chief Administrative Oi~icer and the Emergency Services
Officer are authorized to execute for and on behalf of the named applicant, a public entity established under the
laws of the State of California, any actions necessary for the purpose of obtaining federal financial assistance
provided by the Federal Department of Homeland Security and sub-granted through the State of California.

following vote:
