WHEREAS, Butte County Code Section 2.1 provides that the Board of Supervisors may, by
resolution, specify those hours during which individual departments will be open to the public;
and
WHEREAS, the Paradise Friends of the Library will no longer provide funding for staff to
extend library hours at the Paradise Branch by 12 hours per week beyond the 30 hours per week
funded by the County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Chico contributes funding for staff to extend library hours at the Chico
Branch by 18 hours per week beyond the 30 hours per week funded by the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that the
Library will be open to the public effective July 6, 2010 as follows:
Biggs Branch
Tuesday noon - 6 pm
Chico Branch
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
Saturday
9 am - S pm

gam-4:30 pm
9arn-4:30 pm
Durham Branch
Tuesday noon - 6 pm
Gridley Branch
Wednesday noon - 6 pm
Thursday 10 am - 4 pm

Tuesday noon - 6 pm
Wednesday noon - 6 pm
Thursday 10 am - 4 pm
Friday 10 am - 4 pm

Paradise Branch

Thursday 10 am - 4 pm

Saturday 10 am - 4 pm
All branches normally closed on Mondays will observe Monday holidays on the preceding
Saturday.
Resolution No. 09-110, adopted June 23, 2009, is hereby rescinded in its entirety.

LIBRARY
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
