HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-119IZesorution WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors is the governing body of the Butte County Operational Area; and WHEREAS, the County of Butte recognizes the need to participate in programs that enhance the preparedness of local response agencies to the threat of terrorism and all hazards, natural or man-made; and WHEREAS, the FY10 Interoperable Emergency Communications Grant Program will provide funding to carry out initiatives to improve interoperable emergency communications, including communications in collective response to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and other man-made disasters; and WHEREAS, the resources provided by the grant will meet the stated goals of the Butte County Disaster Council and Northern Planning Area InteroperabiIity Committee (NPAC), which represents the 18 counties in the Northern Planning Region. NOW THERFORE, IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIlIIED AND ORDERED that the award of $380,050 from the California Emergency Management Agency for the FY10 Interoperable Emergency Communications Grant Program will be accepted; and IT IS FURTHER ORDERED; that the Chief Administrative Officer, Telecommunications Manager and Emergency Services Officer of Butte County, are hereby designated as authorized representatives of the County of Butte for the purpose of receipt, processing, and coordination of all inquires and requirements necessary to obtain the assistance provided by the FY10 interoperable Emergency Communications Grant Program. BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby accepts the Fiscal Year 2010 Interoperable Emergency Communications Grant in the amount of $380,050.
