HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-123Resolution RESOLUTION AMENDING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE FOR SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE COUNTY OF BUTTE BY ADJUSTING FEES WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors established the Butte County Master Fee Schedule by Resolution on March 24, 2009; and WHEREAS, the County of Butte is authorized to adopt and implement fees for services; provided, however, that such fees do not exceed the es#imated reasonable cost of providing such services; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was noticed and duly conducted to allow consideration of the proposed fee adjustments prior to adoption of this Resolution; and WHEREAS, a revision to Butte County Code Chapter 19 establishing new requirements and standards for on-site wastewater systems was adopted by the Board of Supervisors March 16, 2010; and WHEREAS, the adopted standards require new or additional County services including additional site evaluations, design reviews, inspections and certifications; and WHEREAS, the Public Health Department recently developed a comprehensive work time-study to quantify the new services; and WHEREAS, the Butte County Sheriff has an ou#side contract for certain Coroner's services; and WHEREAS, the Coroner's service contract includes annual rate increases on a pre- determined scale; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors desires to adjust the fees and to implement new fees for various government services provided by the County of Butte as set forth in the above mentioned actions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte adopts the increased fees as delineated in the attached Exhibit A and amends the Butte County Master Fee Schedule to reflect the increased fees. Sheriff Office fee adjustments shall become effective October 1, 2010. Fee adjustments in the Public Health Department shall become effective November 1, 2010.
