WHEREAS, Butte County, through the support of the Four County
Memorandum of Understanding and associated Addendums One through Four
has made a commitment to integrated regional water management planning;
and
WHEREAS, the Counties of Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Shasta, Sutter and
Tehama have all agreed to support the development of a regional gvvemance
board which consists of three {3) members from each of the six counties, appointed
by the Board of Supervisors of their respective county for the development and
oversight of the activities of the associated integrated regional water management
planning; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has reviewed and supports the
recommendations brought forward by the Butte County Water Commission
regarding the Butte County appointments to the Northern Sacramento Va11ey
Integrated Regional Water Management Governing board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte:
1. The Board of Supervisors shall make three (3) appointments to the
Northern Sacramento Valley Integrated Regional Water Management
governing board.
2_ All appointments shall be selected from publicly elected officals.
3. At least one appointment shall be made from the seated Board of
Supervisors and shall serve at the will of the Board.
4. One {1) at-large appointment shall be a Butte County resident of a
predominately groundwater dependent area.
5. one (1) at-large appointment shalt be a Butte County resident of a
predominately surFace water dependent area.
6. Terms of at large appointments shall rotate on staggered two-year
intervals with the initial terms set by draw of lot by the Cleric of the
Board.

BUTTE COUNTY MEMBERS TO THE NORTHERN SACRAMENTO VALLEY
INTEGRATED REGIONAL WATER MANAGEMENT
GOVERNING BOARD
7. Appointees may be reappointed for consecuutivve terms by the Board
of Supervisors.
8. At large appointments #o the Northern Sacramento Valley Integrated
Regional Water Management governing board may be removed from
sen-ic~e for cause by the Board of Supervisors.
9. At-large members with three unexcused absences may be removed
from service by the Board of Supervisors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
on this 28~~' day of September 2010, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Kirk, Laml~er~, Xamaguchi, and Chair Connelly
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING. None
