2 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 987 OF TIE
COUNTY OF BUTTE, KNOWN AS THE "SALARY ORDINANCE"

4 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
5 California, do ordain as follows:
6 1. That Ordinance No. 987 of the County of Butte is
7 hereby amended as follows:
8 a. That. Section No. 45, entitled, "WELFARE", be amended
9 by deleting therefrom,

21 b.•-.That Section No. 3, entitled, '"SALARY PLAN FOR
22:, CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES", be amended by adding thereto the following:
23 Whenever the effect of reclassification is to reduce
24 the salary of an incumbent, the Board of Supervisors
2g may direct that a capital "Y" be set opposite the
26 reclassified position in the departmental budget and
27 on all payroll and other personnel records. Wherever
28 ~ a capital "Y" is set opposite a postiion, the incumbent
29 shall continue to receive his previously authorized
34 salary until termination of his employment in the position,
31 or until a higher rate of pay may be authorized, whichever
32 first occurs.

2. 'That this ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days
after the date of its adoption, and before the expiration of
fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be published with
the names of the members voting for and against the'same, once
in a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of
California.

County of Butte, State of California, this /~S day of April,
1969, by the following vote:
