Section 27-3 of the Code of Butte County, California, is hereby amended as follows: SECTIODI 27-3. SAME -AMENDMENTS, ADDITIONS AND DELETIONS. The Uniform Electrical Code adopted by Section 27-1 is amended as follows: Section 2A. Section 2A of the Uniform Electrical Code, 1965 Edition, is hereby amended by addi~ thereto paragraphs 5, 6, and 7, which as added shall read as follows: "5. No permit shall be required for any agricultural building or structure. Agricultural buildings are defined as follows: 'Agricultural building,. is a building located on agricultural property and used to shelter farm implements, hay, grain, poultry, livestock, or other farm produce, in which there is no human habitation and which is not used by the public.' "5. No permits shall be required for accessory buildings detached from a residence by at least six (6) feet and whose occupancy would be classified as Type J as defined in the 1964 Uniform Building Code." "7. No permit shall be required for the installation, alteration or repair of agricultural water pumps used solely for agricultural purposes." SECTION 3. For each electric sign, 25 lamps or less For each electric sign, 26 lamps and over For each electric sign or outline lighting installation, luminous gas type with 1 to 4 Transformers Additional transformers, each For each x-ray unit and its appurtenances For each extra inspection made necessary by defective workmanship or materials For the inspection of any electrical equipment for which no fee is herein prescribed for the time consumed per hour With minimum charge 1/2 hour or less Any person who shall commence any electrical work for which a permit is required by this . ordinance without first having obtained a permit therefore shall, if subsequently grant- ed to obtain a permit, pay an additional fee equal to double the permit fee, but such additional fee shall not exceed $25.00 for any single permit, fixed by the section for such work provided that this provision shall not apply to emergency work when it shall be proved to the satisfaction of the Chief Electrical Inspector that such work was urgently necessary and that it was not practical to obtain a permit therefor before the commencement of work. In all cases, a permit must be obtained as soon as it is practical to do so, and if there be an unreasonable delay in obtaining such a permit a double fee as herein provided shall be charged. A fee of $10,00 shall be paid for each annual Maintenance Electrician's permit at the time when such permit is issued. This ordinance will take effect thirty (30) days after its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be published at least once with the names of the supervisors voting for and against in a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
