AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS FOR
THE USE OF LAND AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS
IN AN "A-3" (AGRICULTURAL) DISTRICT.

2! The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
3' of California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as amended:;.
¢ and declaring an emergency DOES ORDAIN as follows:
5 SECTION 1.
g The hereinafter described area situate in the County of
7 Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby zoned as an
g "A-3" (Agricultural) District and such area shall be subject to the
Ig restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter speci-
10 fied and provided. Said area so zoned being located in the unin-
1~, corporated area of Butte County.
12 All of the "Camper Tract" per map recorded in Map
Book 1 on page 28, in the Office of the Recorder,
13 County of Butte, State of California.
1.4 Also., that portion of Section 10, T21N R1E, MpB&M,
described as follows:

Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 6, said
16 "Camper Tract; thence North 71°13' East, a distance
of 127 ft.; thence North 08°44' East, a distance
17 of 631.3 ft. to a point on the East line of said
"Camper Tract"; thence Southwesterly along said
yg East line a distance of 698.2 ft., to the -point of
beginning.

SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "A-3" DISTRICT:

The following regulations shall apply in an "A-3"

District:

2.1 USES PERMITTED:

a. Single-family dwellings.
24
b. General farming, horticulture, commercial live-
25
stock, poultry production, warehousing and storage.

c. Accessory buildings and uses pertinent to the
27
permitted uses, including agricultural processing plants.

d. Housing facilities (including mobile homes) to
29
accommodate only agricultural employees and their families employed
30
by the owner or operator of the premises; and provided further that
31
such housing facility shall be considered accessory to the main
32

1 building and shall conform to the provision pertaining to required
S yard and open space for dwellings.
3 e. Mobile Homes to house one family when such Mobile
,¢ Home is the only housing facility located on the premises, provided
5 the following conditions are conformed to:
g 1. The floor area within the Mrtbile Home shall
!7 not be less than five hundred (500) square feet.
'g 2. The parcel of land conforms to Section 2.3
g (minimum lot area of 5 acres), or is a smaller parcel of land law-
10 fully created prior to the enactment of this Ordinance, subject to
11 written approval by the Director of Planning.
12 2.2 THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
~3. IN EACH CASE:
Z4 a. Golf courses and country clubs.
15 b. Public or quasi-public uses including churches,
16 fire houses, hospitals and clinics, parks and playgrounds, schools,
~~ public utility buildings and professional buildings.
18 2.3 MINIMUM LOT AREA REQUIRED:
19 Minimum lot area shall not be less than five (5) acres.
20 2.4 FRONT YARD REQUIRED:
21 Minimum front yard shall be fifty (50) feet from the
22 centerline of the road, except where the road is classified by the
23 County as a Federal Aid Secondary Road and the minimum building
24 setback requirement shall be fifty-five (55) feet from the center-
25 line of said road.
28 2.5 SIDE YARD REQUIRED:
27 Minimum side yard shall not be less than five {5) feet.
28 SECTION 3.
;29 All uses of land not specifically authorized and per-
30 mitted under Section 2 are prohibited within the district.
31 SECTION 3.
32 In compliance with the provisions of said zoning Enabling

1, Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by and adding to Section 6
2' thereof this ordinance in full.
3: SECTION 4. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
'4' hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the
5 Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of
6 the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after '
7 its effective date became a supplement to and part of the Zoning
8 Enabling Ordinance.
9 SECTION 5. This emergency ordinance shall take effect
14 immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
11 (15) days after its passage shall be published once with the names
12 of all members voting for and against the same in the
13 ~ a newspaper in general
14 circulation in the County of Butte, State of California.
15 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
16 County of Butte, State of California, on the 14~h day of
