Dear Butte County Board of supervisors,
As an employee of Butte County,I think it is about time that with new leadership being interviewed and
hired that the blatant lack of minorities in management positions and hiring practices be addressed.I
have been around a long time and on hiring panels and have seen first-hand how we overlook qualified
individuals simply because they are not white. In light of what is going on in our country and schools,it is
time to address this uncomfortable but obvious practice. Research for yourselves and you will see how
evident this is right now in our county agencies.
