LIBRARY
WHEREAS, Butte County Code Section 2.1 provides that the Board of Supervisors may,
by resolution, specify those hours during which individual departments will be open to the
public; and
WHEREAS, a survey of citizens in Butte County in 2007 by the Godbe company
revealed that additional open hours fox Iibraries was a priority; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of self check computers for both Oroville and Paradise
Library branches will streamline circulation procedures; and
WHEREAS, the Branch Manager and existing staff have agreed that the addition of new
technology will provide them-the flexibility to open the Library more hours per week; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Durham and Gridley are united in seeking additional hours
far their libraries; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Supervisors have committed additional funds to
increase library hours at Durham and Gridley,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
that the Library will be open to the public effective March 5, 2011 as follows:

Tuesday noon _ 6 pm
Chico Branch
Monday 9 am - 5 pm
Tuesday 9 am - 7 pm
Wednesday 9 am - 7 pm
Thursday 9 am - 7 pm
Friday 9 am - 5 pm
Saturday 9 am - 5 pm
Durham Branch
Tuesday noon - 6 pm
Wednesday noon - 6 pm
Thursday 10 am -- 4 pm
Friday 10 am - 4 pm
Saturday 10 am - 4 pm
Gridley Branch
Tuesday noon - 6 pm
Wednesday noon - 6 pm
Thursday 10 am - 4 pm
Friday 10 am - 4 pm
Saturday 10 am - 4 pm
Oroville Branch
Tuesday 11 am - b pm
Wednesday 11 am - 6 pm
Thursday 10 am - 5 pm
Friday 10 am - 5 pm
Saturday IO am - 5 pm
Paradise Branch
Tuesday 11 am - 6 pm
Wednesday 11 am - bpm
Thursday 10 am - 5 pm
Friday 10 am - 5 pm
Saturday 10 am - 5 pm
All branches normally closed on Mondays will observe Monday holidays on the preceding
Saturday.
Resolution No. 10-113, adopted August 10, 201.0, is hereby rescinded in its entirety.
