Resolution RESOLUTION FOR EMPLOYER PAID MEMBER CONTRIBUTIONS (EPMC) WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County has the authority to pay and report al] or a portion of the normal contributions required to be paid by a CaIPERS member pursuant to Government Code Section 20691; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County has the authority to implement, reduce, or eliminate the reporting under government Code Section 20691; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County has adopted a written labor policy or agreement which specifically eliminates the reporting of the value of Employer Paid Member Contribution ("EPMC") as additional compensation for Deputy Sheriffs' Association- Management and Supervisory Unit; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County has received and accepts a voluntary and irrevocable signed waiver by the Sheriff; and a voluntary amended contract by the Undersheriff, which specifically eliminates the reporting of the value of EPMC as additional compensation; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County has adapted Impasse Resolution 9 i - [~a?~ effective far Deputy Sheriffs' Association-General; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County has a written labor policy or agreement or has passed an impasse resolution which specifically provides for the normal member can#ributions to be paid by the employer, or for the normal member contributions to be paid in part by the employee and in part by the employer (contingent upon the MOU or impasse resolution for the specific employee group), as designated below; and WHEREAS, in order to implement Government Cade Section 20691 the Board of Supervisors of Butte County must adopt a Resolution reflecting any payment of said EPMC for the employee groups designated to received such benefit; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County has identified the following conditions far the purpose of its e[ec#ion to pay EPMC pursuant to Government Code Section 20691; • Butte County elects to pay EPMC according to the following list of groups and percentage amounts: No. Group Name EPMC Percents e 1 Elected Board of Su ervisors 7% 2 Executive Assistants Grou Count Su ervisor 7% 3 Elected Department Heads Miscellaneous 7% Safet 9°1° 4 Appointed Department Heads Miscellaneous 7% 5afet 9% 5 Non-Represented Miscellaneous 7% Safet g% 6 Butte Count Em to ee Association -General Unit 7% 7 Butte County Management Employees' Association Miscellaneous 7% Safet 9°1° $ Butte County Employee Association -Social Services 7% Workers Unit 9 Butte County Deputy Sheriffs' Association -Management 7% and Su erviso Unit 10 Butte Count De ut Sheriffs' Association -General Unit 6% 11 Butte County Correctional Officers' Association - 9% Su erviso Unit 12 Butte County Correctional Officers' Association -General Unit Miscellaneous 7% Safet 9% 13 Butte Count Probation Peace Officers' Association 9% 14 Butte Count Professional Em to ees' Association 7% NOW, THEREFORE, BE [T RESOLVED that this Resolution specifically eliminates the reporting the value of EPMC as additions[ compensation for the Butte County Deputy Sheriff's Association -Management and Supervisory Unit, the Sheriff and the Undersheriff, and supersedes and replaces Resolution 03-079 and; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Resolution supersedes and replaces Resolution 09-117. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte elects to pay EPMC, as set forth above. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this resolution is adopted on March 29, 2011 and effective April 16, 2011.
