AN ORDINANCE CONSOLIDATING THE DURHAM JUDICIAL
DISTRICT WITH THE CHICO JUDICIAL DISTRICT
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, DO ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. Section 2=26 of the Butte County Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 2-26, Established; description.
In accordance with section 71040 of the Government
,Code of the State, the county is divided into judicial districts,
which districts are hereby established, named and the boundaries
thereof described as follows:
BIGGS JUDICIAL DISTRICT.
Begin.nang at point of intersectirn of the south boundary ',
of section 20 twp. 18 N,R, 1 E, and center line of Butte Creek;
thence easterly along section line 11.4 miles more or less to the
southwest corner of lot 25 Gridley Colony No, 3; thence southerly
along subdivision line of southwest corner of lot 26 of said
subdivision; thence easterly along subdivasi~ line and its
extension to center line of Feather Raver; thence nortnerly
along center line of said r~.ver to southwest corner of Block 240
of South Thermalito; thence northerly along black lines to center
line of Oroville-Willows Road; thence westerly along center line
of said road to the southwest corner of Block 208 South Thermalito;
thence northerly along block line of northwest corner of Block
177 (which corner is also common to the south boundary of section
21 twp. 19 N.R. 3 E.) thence westerly along section line to
center line of Larkin Road; thence northerly one (1) mile more
or less along center line of said road to the northeast corner
of section 20, twp. 19 N.R. 3 E.; thence westerly one (1)
mile more orless to the southwest corner of section 17 of said

~- Section 2. It is the intent of this Ordinance to
consolidate the Durham and Chico Judicial Districts. To assure
an orderly transition, this consolidation-shall occur on
January 1, 1971, notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect on Janes
nary 1, 1971, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days
after its passage, it shall be published with the names of tree
members voting for and against same at least once inn a newspaper
published in the County of Butte, State of. Cal'forniao
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of_California, on the 2$th day of
