A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDING AND THE
EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ANY AMENDMENTS THERETO
FROM THE PLANNING/TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ALLOCATION
OF THE STATE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, tine Community Development Block Grant {CDBG) Program provides funding
opportunities for small cities and counties for planning and feasibility studies related to CDBG
eligible activities such as housing, public works, and economic development;
WHEREAS, the County of Butte is eligible to apply for up to $70,000 in funds from the CDBG
General Allocation to complete planning and technical analysis for a specific physical project;
WHEREAS, the County of Butte is eligible to apply for up to $35,000 in funds from the CDBG
Economic Development Allocation for anon-project specific planning and technical analysis.
NOW, THEREFORE, SE IT RESOLVED by the County of Butte Board of Supervisors as
follows:
SECTION 1
The Butte County Board of Supervisors has reviewed and hereby approves an application under the
General AIlocation for up to $70,000 for the completion of Phase I Development of the Master Plan for
Urban Street Improvements in the Unincorporated Area of South Oroville.
SECTION 2
The Butte County Board of Supervisors has reviewed and hereby approves an application under the
Economic Development Allocation for up to $35,000 for the completion of a Countywide Tourism
Strategy and implementation Plan.
SECTION 3
The Butte County Board of Supervisors has determined that federal Citizen Participation requirements
were met during the development of this application.
SECTION 4
If the application is approved, far Cash Match the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby approves
the use of CDBG Program Income Funds in the amount of $2,100.00 ($1,400 match for the General
Allocation, and $700 match for the Economic Development Allocation).
SECTION 5
The Butte County Chief Administrative Officer is hereby authorized and directed to act on the
County's behalf in all matters pertaining to this application.
SECTION b
If the applicatian is approved, the Butte County Chief Administrative Officer is authorized to enter into
and sign the grant agreement and any subsequent amendments with the State of California for the
purposes of this grant.
