RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF PROBATION OFFICER TO SIGN, ON BEHALF
OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VICTIM
COMPENSATION AND GOVERNMENT CLAIMS BOARD AND THE COUNTY OF BUTTE
(AGREEMENT #: VCGC1093).
WHEREAS, the Butte County Baard of Supervisors has previously entered into an agreement with the
Victim Compensation and Government Claims Board {hereafter referred to as the "VCGCB") and desires
to continue the program to establish a Revolving Fund to assist applicants who have an immediate need
for payment of an expense (i.e. funerallburial, relocation, and crime scene clean-up expenses}, where the
applicant would suffer a substantial financial hardship without such emergency payment, and
WHEREAS, the VCGCB has advanced $40,000.00 as authorized under Government Cade Section 6504,
to pay qualifying claims for the period of July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2014. The Probation Department
shall exercise appropriate internal records over the issuance of funds and requests for reimbursement of
funds to replenish the account.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief Probation Officer of the County of Butte is
authorized to submit the attached agreement to the VCGCB and is authorized to execute on behalf of the
Board of Supervisors the Standard Agreement including any extensions or amendments thereof.
