HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-063Resolution RESOLUTION FOR EMPLOYER PAID MEMBER CONTRfBUTIONS (EPMC) WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County has the authority to pay and report all or a portion of the normal contributions required to be paid. by a CaIPERS member pursuant to Government Code Section 20691; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County has the authority to implement, reduce, or eliminate the reporting under Government Code Section 20691; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County has a written labor policy or agreement or has passed an impasse resolution which specifically provides for the normal member contributions to be paid by the employer, or for the normal member contributions to be paid in part by the employee and in part by the employer (contingent upon the MOU or impasse resolution for the specific empbyee group), as designated below;.and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors eliminated the reporting of the value of EPMC as additional compensation and made certain other reductions in the amount of EPMC paid by the County in Resolution 11-023, which modifications continue in the current Resolution; and WHEREAS, in order to implement Government Code Section 20691 the Board of Supervisors of Butte County must adapt a Resolution re#fecting any payment of said EPMC for the employee groups designated.to received such benefit, and WHEREAS,`the Board of Supervisors of Butte County has identified the following conditions for the purpose of its election to pay EPMC pursuant to Government Code Section 20691; Butte County elects to pay EPMC according to the following list of groups and percentage amounts: No. Group Name EPMC Percents e 1 Elected Board of Su enrisors 74/0 2 Executive Assistants Grou Count Su ervisor 7% 3 Elected Department Heads Miscellaneous 7% Safet 9% 4 Appointed Department Heads Miscellaneous 74/0 Safet 94/0 5 Nan-Represented Miscellaneous 7% Safet 9% 6 Butte Count Em to ee Association -General Unit 7% 7 Butte County Management Employees' Association Miscellaneous 7% Safet 9% 8 Butte County Employed Association -Social Services 7% Workers Unit 9 Butte County Deputy Sheriffs' Association -Management 7% and Su enriso Unit 10 Butte Count De ut Sheriffs' Association -General Unit 6% 11 Butte County Correctional Officers' Associatian - 9% Su erviso Unit 12 Butte County Correctional Officers' Association -General Unit Miscellaneous ~% Safet ~'% 13 Butte Count Probation Peace Officers' Association 9% 1~ Butte Count Professional Em to ees' Associatian 7% NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Resolution supersedes and replaces Resolution 11-023. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte elects to pay EPMC, as set forth above. NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED, that this resolution is adopted on June 28, 2011 and effective July 9, 2011.
