WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors established the Butte County Master Fee Schedule by Resolution on
March 24, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte is authorized to adopt and implement fees for services; provided, however, that
such fees do not exceed the estimated reasonable cast of providing such services; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was noticed and duly conducted to allow consideration of the proposed fee
adjustments prior to adoption of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, Government Code section 29550 authorizes the County to charge a fee to every city, special
district, school district, community college district, college, or university, of up to one-half of the actual costs of booking
or other processing at the county jail of every person arrested by an employee of such city, special district, school
district, community college district, college, or university and brought to the county jail facility for booking or detention;
and
WHEREAS, Government Code sections 27361 and 27397 authorize the County to charge fees for the
recording of the first page of both regular recordings and recordings related to District Attorney Fraud prosecutions for
the purposes of modernization innprovements and the implementation of an electronic recording delivery system; and
WHEREAS, the Public Health Department recently developed a comprehensive work time-study to quantify
new services and evaluate currently performed services; and
WHEREAS, Health and Safety Code sections 25270.6 and 25404.5 authorize the County to charge fees for the
implementation of the Aboveground Petroleum Storage Act; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors desires to adjust the fees and to implement new fees for various
government services provided by the County of Butte as set forth in the above mentioned actions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte adapts the
adjusted fees as delineated in the attached Exhibit A and amends the Butte County Master Fee Schedule to reflect the
adjusted fees. Fee adjustments for Sheriff, Clerk-Recorder, and Public Health services related to laboratory, food safety,
and aboveground storage shall become effective July 1, 20I I. Fee adjustments in the Public Health Department related to
liquid waste, water, anal solid waste shall become effective August 29, 201 i .
